Heilbronn, April 2nd, 2007. n3k is pleased to announce that runIP™ version 2.2 - the latest version of the Managed DNS & DHCP Appliance solution is now generally available. runIP™ version 2.2 offers a variety of new features as well as usability, security, and performance enhancements including:

• TFTP support: In addition to DNS & DHCP, customers can now run TFTP services on their runIP™ appliances which can be very helpful, especially in VoIP environments.
• separation of package transfers & activation: New runIP packages can now be deployed in multiple steps allowing customers to prepare new configurations before-hand in order to perform the actual upgrades very quickly.
• activate debugging via the GUI: Debugging for VitalQIP®, DNS & DHCP services can now be activated from the GUI even by staff with limited technical skills. Debug Files can be downloaded directly from the GUI.
• internationalization: The runIP™ GUI can be localized for different languages. English and German are included by default. Additional languages will be added based on customer demand.
• monitoring enhancements:: runIP™ version 2.2 offers additional monitoring tests and provides more detailed information.
• configurable SSH access: SSH access to appliances can now be turned off, optionally.
